COURSE OVERVIEW
Want to write more, improve your technique, or just want to get started? Then this workshop-based course aims to move your writing forward. Through group and individual work, we will explore various forms of creative writing.
You will cover several topics in class, covering the main building blocks of writing fiction, such as: generating ideas; characterisation; plotting; structure; dialogue; research; location and setting.
Weekly assignments will be given out, as part of the course. To get the most from the course, it is strongly advised that you try and complete these assignments.
Please note: poetry, scriptwriting and screenwriting are not covered on this course.
Tutor Sue Walker is a novelist published by Penguin. She has over 20 years’; experience as an investigative television journalist and has extensive experience of running courses and workshops as a creative writing tutor.
This course runs on a Tuesday evening 1900-2100.
