Level E

Step into Sport and Health

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is perfect to get a grounding at college and is built for those who would like a more supported transition from school.

The course will be delivered by Sport tutors and will have a holistic feel, not just focussing on Sport & Health unit work. We will aim to help you get into good study habits so allow progression onto a Level 1 course after successfully completing the year with us.

Working in small classes, with the support of experienced tutors and teaching assistants, you will build your self-confidence and self-esteem. The Entry Level 3 course will also boost your social skills and ability to get on with a variety of different people. Our friendly tutors will help you to develop your employability and offer guidance on your future training and career options.

You will benefit from:

  • Practical sessions
  • Participation in a wide range of sports and physical activities
  • On-site sports facilities
  • Additional qualifications as part of the course
  • Focus on employability and personal development

You will also be able to work towards Maths & English qualifications in a Functional skills or GCSE environment.

You can also bolt on additional training and competition with our Football or Boxing Academy. This will be discussed at interview.

FURTHER INFORMATION

Start at Entry Level 3 if you do not have at least 2 GCSEs at grade 2 (F) or above. An interview with a course tutor will be required. This course is suitable for students who, for many reasons, have not gained GCSEs. Perhaps you need to boost your confidence after a challenging time at school or maybe you just need some supported learning to help you on track to achieve your goals.
