Straw Marquetry Introduction Workshop - 1 Saturday/Spring Term

COURSE OVERVIEW

Learn the historic craft of straw marquetry on this introductory course.

Learn how to split and flatten straw, transfer a design to the wood blank and how to cut and glue straw, together with cleaning and polishing straw marquetry.

By the end of the course you will be able to split and prepare straw before cutting and creating your own straw marquetry panel. Understand how to use straw marquetry to upcycle your own projects.

All materials provided.
