COURSE OVERVIEW
This two-year technical qualification is ideal for learners who want to develop their skills in the beauty sector. With 20% of your time (at least 315 hours) out on a work industry placement, and 80% learning hands-on skills in our industry-standard beauty salon on-campus. On this course you will develop an understanding of a broad range of skills and knowledge needed for working in this sector, including:
- Business context, including how the sector operates
- Health and Safety regulations
- Safe working practices
- An understanding of the client journey
- Client consultation
- Sales and marketing
- Business practices
- Self-development
You will then study specialist content in Beauty Therapy, which can lead to a range of careers within this industry. T Levels are equivalent to three A-levels. Once you complete this course, you can progress onto employment, a higher apprenticeship, or a degree-level course at university.
Our facilities
In summer 2021 we opened our new suite of hair and beauty salons. These new facilities position the college at the cutting edge of training for the service industry.
FURTHER INFORMATION
This course is currently only available to students aged 16-18 on the 31st August of the year of entry. You must achieve a minimum of 5 x GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including Maths, English and Science

HOW THE APPLICATION PROCESS WORKS
Set Up Your Account
You’ll be prompted to create an account which will allow you to log in to our Application Tracker website whenever you wish. This will provide you with important information and you can also track the progress of your application.
Apply
Complete each step of the application form and then submit your completed form. We’ll let you know when we’ve safely received it with an acknowledgement email.
Application Review Meeting
Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.
Accept Your Place
Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.
What next?
Once you receive your GCSE results, you’ll need to get in touch with the college to inform us of them and start your enrolment process.
