UAL Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma In Creative Practice: Art, Design And Communication (Photography)
COURSE OVERVIEW
Our exciting photography course will help you develop your creative and technical skills including the use of specialist equipment, studio lighting, lenses, camera controls and set-ups. You will be able to extend your skills in digital and traditional photography including darkroom practices and techniques, and the use of software such as Photoshop and Lightroom to help you create a professional portfolio.
We regularly have projects and live briefs linked to practising photographers and photographic businesses in Brighton, enabling you to make those vital industry contacts and to develop your work-ready skills to progress into a creative career.
FURTHER INFORMATION
At least four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English, maths and preferably a creative subject, plus a portfolio of your creative work. Also, you will have to pass a six week review.
If you do not have GCSE grade 4 (C) or above in English or maths you will study for a relevant English and/or maths qualification.
The Diploma is awarded on completion of Year 1 and the Extended Diploma on completion of Year 2.

You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
