For adults aged 19+ who want to create comics, manga or graphic novels. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience who want to improve their skills.
- Apply comic, manga and graphic novel storytelling techniques.
- Develop ideas for fiction, autobiography and non-fiction comics.
- Improve drawing skills and basic figure construction techniques.
- Create believable worlds and compelling comic characters.
- Produce a mini-comic from script to finished artwork.
Progress to other adult learning courses or continue creating your own comics independently using the skills and confidence gained on the course.
Learn through practical activities, demonstrations, exercises and project work. Tutor feedback will support you as you develop and complete your own mini-comic.
You will need a sketchbook, pencils, drawing pens, eraser, sharpener and ruler. A recommended materials list will be provided.
