Why choose this course?

This practical Visual Storytelling course is designed for photographers, journalists, advocates, bloggers, and creative storytellers who want to communicate powerful ideas through images.

Guiding you through the complete photographic storytelling process, you will learn how to develop and pitch ideas, research and prepare projects, plan and execute shoots, and edit and sequence images into compelling visual narratives. The course also explores the relationship between text and image, legal and ethical considerations, professional photo editing techniques, and effective layout and design for publication.

Through project critiques and workshops, you will develop both your creative vision and technical skills while gaining experience with industry-standard Adobe Creative Cloud software. Whether your interest is documentary photography, social issues, personal projects, or editorial storytelling, you will learn how to create work that engages and informs audiences.

By the end of the course, you will produce a finished visual project in the form of a single-image work, typology, or picture story. Your final outcome can be presented digitally or in print as a poster, zine, or photobook, providing a professional portfolio piece that demonstrates your ability to conceive, create, edit, and present a cohesive visual story.

Perfect for anyone looking to strengthen their visual communication skills and develop meaningful photographic projects from concept to publication.
