Access to Higher Education | Diploma in Psychology | LASER Level 3

COURSE OVERVIEW

This one year course aims to prepare you for university-level academic study.
During the course you will find out the answers to question such as:
What causes mental health problems and how can we best treat them? How do childhood experiences shape our adulthood? How does stress affect our wellbeing? Can criminals be reformed? How do social inequalities impact on individuals? What is the impact of social media on our identities and relationships? How can brain damage impact on personalities and behaviours?
You will find the answers to these questions and many more, in this intensive yet rewarding course, which provides a qualification equivalent to A-level (level 3) Psychology. You will discover the practical application of psychology to many areas of life and learn essential academic skills which will prepare you for success in your Undergraduate degree.
Throughout the course, you will receive personalised guidance on your UCAS application and thorough preparation for university admissions interviews, ensuring you are well-equipped for the next step in your academic journey. Delivered by passionate and experienced teaching staff, the course is tailored to support your academic growth and help you achieve your educational goals.
Please note you must be aged 19 or older to join this course.

FURTHER INFORMATION

You must have a GCSE grade 9-4 (A* – C) in English and Maths.
You will be required to attend an interview with a member of the department.
