We have a number of care-based courses at Brighton Metropolitan College, including T Levels, to help you pursue a career in early years education, teaching, nursing, midwifery, social work or other health pathways.

Our tutors have professional industry experience and have valuable knowledge that they’ll be able to share with you. Brighton Metropolitan College also works closely with local employers to ensure that our study programmes meet their needs. You will undertake work experience and career-focused projects.

At Brighton Metropolitan College, we offer a range of qualifications and apprenticeships in childcare.

On our courses, you’ll gain hands-on experience of working with children and you’ll learn all about subjects such as child development, safe environments for children, children and play, communication systems and professional practice. The placements we provide with local day centres and nurseries could also open the door to full-time employment at the end of your course.

Becoming a professional in the care sector can involve working with: the elderly, people with disabilities and vulnerable adults and children and as such can be a challenging but highly rewarding career. There are many career paths available in this field including care assistants, nurses, health workers and social workers.
