DRESSMAKING FOR BEGINNERS & IMPROVERS
COURSE OVERVIEW
Develop your sewing skills and learn how to make your own clothes using a commercial pattern. To start, you will be taught how to thread up a sewing machine, and sew a variety of basic and more decorative seams.
The course will then take you through the whole process of making a garment, including adapting patterns to your shape; sewing darts, pleats and seams; inserting zips; stitching hems; and more.
Overlocking machines are also available for your use.
In addition to the course fees, students will be required to purchase their own material, pattern and sewing sundries.

Courses run on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening, times 1800-2100, for 10 weeks. Please ensure you select the correct date / day and course code when enrolling.
