COURSE OVERVIEW
We are delighted that you are considering learning about the Cyber Security industry which is rapidly evolving and needs a skilled workforce for the future. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to build their knowledge and skills to better understand cyber security and how it affects us in a modern technology reliant world.
About the Course
You will learn an introduction to the industry, cyber security threat landscape and risks. This will cover:
- key terminology used in cyber security
- types of cyber security threats
- professional, skills and behaviours for the cyber security industry
- consequences and implications of inadequate cyber security
- importance of preventative and protection measures for cyber security threats.
You will hear from some key people in the industry who will share unique insights into working in the field of cyber security and inspire you to think about your future career goals. This includes an insight from a Cyber Security Analyst and Penetration Tester.
This is a course that is relevant to many sectors, and you will gain professional skills, industry behaviours and employability skills that employers are looking for.
FURTHER INFORMATION
There are no formal entry requirements. Participants will not be required to have any prior knowledge of cyber security but it is advantageous. It is expected that learners will be confident users of digital technology and proficient in the English Language.
Once you have passed this course, you may be able to progress to the Intermediate level course – your teacher will be able to discuss progression routes with you.
To successfully complete the course, you will be required to complete an end of course assessment (1hr) online following the activities above.
