COURSE OVERVIEW
The level one in Health and Social Care , is a Bite-sized qualification designed for people considering a career in the care sector .
The course will cover topics such as
- Communication: Understanding how to communicate effectively in care settings.
- Health and Safety: Introductory awareness of safety, hygiene, and risk assessment.
- Equality and Diversity: Learning the importance of inclusion and anti-discriminatory practice.
- Principles and Values: Exploring the “6Cs” of care (Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment).
- Service Provision: An overview of different job roles and types of care facilities (hospitals, residential homes, etc.)
The course will run on Mondays from 9.30 – 2.30
Starting 13th April
FURTHER INFORMATION
no formal qualifications are required, though a basic level of English and maths is often expected.
Upon completion , students may wish to explore gaining employment within the sector
Or they could consider a higher level course within the area.
You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations and academic coursework .
You will be fee assessed for this course, and maybe free if you fit the criteria .
