COURSE OVERVIEW
We set up a special enrolment day for you on the 19th May at 9:30am, but you can enrol online now or in person by coming to the Student Centre at the College Mon-Fri 10am – 4pm.
We are pleased to organise this course in partnership with the Launchpad Collective.
You will learn:
- About making & presenting your business plan
- The implications of VAT, National Insurance and tax
- The different types of business structures
- Attracting customers & keeping them happy
- Legal and financial considerations
You will meet, hear from and ask questions to:
- Local professionals such as Accountants,
- Entrepreneurs or Self-employed people
The course will run on Mon & Tues from 09:30-15:00, Detailed schedule below:

19th May (enrolment at MET) 20th May (face to face at the college)
26th (BH no session) 27th May (face to face at the college)
2nd June (online) 3rd June (face to face at the college)
9th June (online) 10th June (face to face at the college)
The session on the 10th June at the college is an opportunity to discuss the next steps like qualification-based courses.
FURTHER INFORMATION
If the following criteria apply, you qualify for one of our FREE Opening Doors programmes
- 19+
- Unemployed and claiming a means tested benefit* or
- Earning less than £25,000 per annum**
- If English is not your first language, your language will be at Entry Level 3 or above
- If you are not UK citizen, you will need to provide a confirmation of EU settlement status or a valid visa***
*Accepted means tested benefits include: Universal Credit, JSA, ESA, Income Support, Housing Benefit, Pension Credit, Council Tax Benefit.
**Accepted evidence of your earnings include: Last three months payslips, Bank Statements, P60 or a formal contract of employment,
