COURSE OVERVIEW
Introduction
Starting in Sept 2024 -This course will run for 1 x day per week for a whole academic year (day of the week TBC)
The VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Salon Management is an advanced qualification aimed at those who wish to proceed to employment as a salon manager or senior therapist. Throughout this qualification you will plan the management of products and services for your salon by; analysing data for planning purposes, set operational objectives, monitor working practices, evaluate stock control and equipment levels and provide recommendations to increase salon revenue. You will research, monitor and recommend improvements to ensure the health, safety and security, the quality of client care and management of sales for your salon.
From the additional unit section of this qualification you will also study:
- Laser and light treatments for hair removal
- Laser and light treatments for skin rejuvenation

Prerequisites
You are expected to hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline, or significant industry experience prior to undertaking this qualification. Your centre will have ensured that you have the required knowledge, understanding and skills to enrol and successfully achieve this qualification.

• Use this as a platform for continued higher education studies

Creating a portfolio of evidence
As part of this qualification you are required to produce a portfolio of evidence. A portfolio will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that you have learnt. It may be in electronic or paper format. Your assessor will provide guidance on how to prepare the portfolio of evidence and how to show practical achievement, and understanding of the knowledge required to successfully complete this qualification. It is this booklet along with the portfolio of evidence that will serve as the prime source of evidence for this qualification.
You will be required to purchase a professional kit, text book and uniform ( Approx. £200 )
