Discover the art of jewellery making with Brighton MET’s diverse range of courses, designed to cater to all skill levels and interests

‘I’ve attended several jewellery courses at Brighton Met , once as a beginner and then a few times as an improver. Sarah, the tutor, is full of practical knowledge, and provides demonstrations and handouts on different jewellery topics. I’ve learnt stone setting, chain making, wire work and more. Her sharp eye and sense of perfection pushes our work to a high standard, especially in the finishing stage, where we file, sand and polish our pieces. It’s inspiring being in classes with makers who have so many different ideas. The workshop is well equipped with tools you could need. I’ve really enjoyed my classes at Met and wouldn’t have improved so much without them.’ – Cath Lloyd , Adult Learner

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to enhance your existing skills, our workshops provide a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.

We also offer Silversmithing at the college. It is rare to find silversmithing offered as a hobbyist subject. The workshop has a fleet of specialist hammers and a selection of stakes. So if you are looking to make metal products such as boxes, tableware, cutlery and candlesticks; this could be the course for you.
