Creative Industries students at Brighton MET celebrate International Women’s Day with a stunning window display.
The design and installation was created in collaboration between the Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (Graphic Design pathway) and the Level 3 Diploma in Visual Merchandising & Styling.
The students drew inspiration from graphic designer and activist Corita Kent, a prominent figure in the 1960s art and design world.
Our Graphic Design students worked together to produce the final design, which consists of brightly coloured vinyl applied to the glass to spell out the word ‘Women’. Printed banners hang behind the striking typography, proudly displaying this year’s tagline #ChooseToChallenge.
Congratulations to all the students involved in creating this important work:
- Nathan Davies
- Gabe Messer
- Emily Fidami
- Megan Davies
- Lily Bradford
- Esme Jarvis
- Polly Piercy
- Dylan Crosby-Adams
And special thanks to Hugo Carrington, a dedicated student who created the artwork.
