This course is designed for school leavers who are new to the electrical industry & want to develop practical trade skills. It is ideal for learners who enjoy hands-on activities, problem-solving & learning how electrical systems work & who aim to progress into further study or an apprenticeship.

You will learn through a combination of classroom lessons and practical workshop activities in industry-standard facilities. Experienced tutors will help you develop core hand skills, technical knowledge and safe working practices. Assessment includes practical tasks, online tests, assignments and tutor observations completed throughout the course.
Students will need steel toe-capped safety boots for practical workshop activities, along with coloured pens, pencils and an A4 ring-bound notepad for classwork. Additional learning resources may be recommended by tutors to support study throughout the course.
