COURSE OVERVIEW
Whether you are interested in becoming a games designer, 3D modeller, web designer, photographer or filmmaker, this could be the first step towards an exciting career in the creative industries.
You will discover a wide range of technologies, with opportunities to realise your individual interests through a programme of projects, preparing you to move on to our Level 3 courses in Games Design, Filmmaking or Photography.
Learn different creative practices such as web design, image manipulation, photography, sound design, character design and animation. Build your confidence through an engaging programme of creative media projects where you can also realise your individual interests using a range of media skills, techniques and processes.
You will be supported to find work experience and build a strong portfolio to prepare you for further study at a higher level or employment. Our digital arts facilities are top-of-the-range and include two computer suites with Apple Mac computers using the latest professional creative software.
We use broadcast video cameras, digital SLR cameras and industry standard animation software. The college also has Brighton’s cheapest art shopright here on campus.

- We encourage all of our students to take part in volunteering -; this is great for your CV and demonstrates your willingness to give something back to your community.
You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
