COURSE OVERVIEW
If you are interested in a career in the electrical industry, then this course will provide the experience and knowledge required to progress to becoming a qualified electrician.
Using a mix of taught sessions and project work, you will be trained to fabricate containment, install and terminate cables, inspect and test electrical installations, and diagnose and rectify electrical faults, along with learning about the underpinning industry regulations and electrical science.

FURTHER INFORMATION
To study at Level 2 you must have completed the Level 1 Electrical course or have a minimum of 4 GCSEs.These must include a minimum grade 3 in GCSE English and a grade 4 in GCSE maths.

- Electrical engineer
- Industrial installer
- Project manager
- Self-employment
You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
