Estate Agent and Property Services | City & Guilds Certificate in Customer Service
COURSE OVERVIEW
This is a one-year course combining customer and property services, providing an excellent foundation in the skills and knowledge required for a career in this industry. The property sector offers lots of opportunities with the market continuing to grow throughout the pandemic and house prices increasing at their fastest rate for more than a decade (source: BBC News, June 2021).
As part of the programme of study, you will undertake four units of study which cover key topics to move into the industry. This nationally-recognised qualification is accredited by Propertymark Qualifications, the UK’;s specialist awarding organisation.
FURTHER INFORMATION
At least three GCSEs grade 4 (C) or above, including English Language.
If you do not have these grades, you can start on Level 1 Get Started, or Level 2 Business.
On successful completion of the course you could go into the following careers:
- Local estate agent
- Overseas estate agent
- Customer service roles
- Property expert
You will be assessed throughout your course via externally set exams from Property Mark and controlled assessment from City and Guilds. In preparation for assessment your teachers will be undertaking classroom based activities, such as presentations, group work, professional discussions and workbooks to support your understanding of the subject matter pre assessment. This course benefits from guest speakers and external visits to industry settings.
Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
