This Get Started in Sport courses is your stepping-stone into the world of Sport and Leisure. This is a re-engagement course—for some students this means a fresh start, for others a chance to get back into an educational mindset.
You will have the time and opportunity to focus on key social and life skills, while linking them to sport.

Ideally you will have an interest in Sport or Physical actvity and would like to expand your knowledge and skills whilst preparing for the future.

- Opportunity to join the football, basketball or boxing academies
Based around our on-campus sports facilities, this course prepares you for progression on to other sport courses at the MET. You will have the opportunity to reatek Maths and English GCSE’s alongside this program to help with entry requirments for Level 2 courses.
Teaching will be delivered in a mix of classroom based and practical learning in our sports hall, gym or the outdoor pitches. The qualification has a rough 70% theory – 30% practical split but each unit has a slightly different balance which we can discuss at interview.
