Visual Merchandising and Styling | UAL Diploma/Extended Diploma in Art and Design | Level 3
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is for you if you have a passion for trends, marketing, styling and fashion as well as an interest in working within the fast-paced retail and styling industry. Learn how interior retail spaces can be arranged in ways that attract customers, maximise their engagement with products, and motivate them to buy.
You will experience working in our brand new fashion and photography studios at our Central Brighton Campus with collaborative opportunities for practical work. Your learning will take place in our dedicated creative studios, computer suites and window display areas. You will develop your employability skills through work experience and live projects, plus you’;ll go behind the scenes at independent and big brand stores in Brighton and London.

FURTHER INFORMATION
You’ll require at least four GCSEs grade 4 or above, including English, maths and preferably a creative subject. Also, you will have to pass a six week review.
After one year at Level 3, most students move on to the second year to gain the Extended Diploma.
On successful completion of this course you may wish to progress to our Level 4 Visual Merchandising and Styling course at Northbrook College.
Many of our Creative Industries students continue their studies to degree-level, attending top universities including London College of Fashion, University of Westminster, Central Saint Martins and Nottingham Trent University.
We also offer a BA (Hons) Fashion Design degree at our West Durrington Campus.
You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
