Advanced Art & Design
COURSE OVERVIEW
The Advanced Art course is a extension of the Introduction and Intermediate Art courses, but you can join regardless of if you have attended those courses, to learn about a range of advanced drawing and painting techniques.
In this 5-week course we will explore mixed media drawing, drypoint printing technique, advanced collage and mono printing, and various watercolour and acrylics painting techniques.
You will be encouraged to put together the portfolio of your artwork, but it is optional, as many students join the course to enjoy learning the new techniques and their focus is on creating art and the experimentation.
This course runs from 10 am to 2:30 pm on Wednesdays.

Students should have a basic understanding of painting and drawing, but there are no formal entry requirements.
You may wish to progress to a formal qualification or other art and design course at the college.
