Web Design | Professional Development Course in Digital Design for Web

COURSE OVERVIEW

This in-depth, year-long course offers those wishing to enhance their career potential a practical look at current web design software and practices including: User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design, coding in HTML and CS and mainstream web creation tools such as WordPress, Wix and Squarespace; eCommerce and much more. On completion, you will have created six websites including an online portfolio.
Look at logo design, branding and web graphics creation in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and gain knowledge of UI (user interface), UX (user experience) design and various methods for creating web pages including Adobe Dreamweaver, coding in HTML and CSS. You will use WordPress and learn how to make animation, photography and video for the web for websites, Instagram and vlogging purposes. The course also covers posting and domain names and project management for web design including writing proposals and costing.
It differs from our shorter courses in web design, offering a more complete and comprehensive practical look at current web design practices, and culminates in creating an online portfolio to promote the projects created on the course.

FURTHER INFORMATION

Anyone who meets these requirements:

  • An interest in web and graphic design
  • Access to a computer with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
  • An interview with a course tutor may be required
