COURSE OVERVIEW
On successful completion you could progress to the Extended Diploma where you will specialise in a chosen area and be supported with applications to Higher Education or onto employment.
You will learn all aspects of game and concept design within a creative and supportive environment.
FURTHER INFORMATION
On the Extended Diploma course, you will gain understanding of the more advanced and contemporary areas of games design and animation. You will start by delving into genre and how to effectively portray it, then move on to investigating how to engage with audiences and then specialising into an area of games design of your choice, all the while preparing yourself for either university or industry.
You will also have a one week work placement with a local games design company, gaining crucial contact time and experience with industry people, processes and expectations. This part of the course will require you to perform more self directed study than the previous year so students planning on embarking on this course will need to be self motivated with a real passion for games design and animation.
